Wind Sun Sky Entertainment is a Canadian multimedia entertainment company. The studio is led and controlled by former LucasFilm executive, Catherine Winder (The Angry Birds Movie, Star Wars; The Clone Wars, Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics). Based in Vancouver, we are a full-service producer of creator driven content with a focus on developing Canadian content for the domestic, U.S. and international marketplace.

Catherine is our CEO and partner in Wind Sun Sky Entertainment. Finding and collaborating with all sorts of incredible talent, no matter the medium; TV/Film/Shorts/Games/L&M for live action or digital content, is her passion. She’s had the good fortune to work with iconic talent over the years including George Lucas, Chris Meledandri, Robert Kirkman, Bill Hanna, Todd McFarlane, Ralph Bakshi and Peter Chung to name a few, and looks forward to adding to that list!
Adapting big brands into digital content is one of her most notable areas of expertise. She most recently produced the global event film, The Angry Birds Movie, based off the hugely successful game. A daunting yet incredible career challenge, was adapting the Star Wars franchise. Working with George Lucas directly, she built the team, oversaw the development and produced the first animated Star Wars movie and highly rated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. She is currently adapting and producing a series for Robert Kirkman based on one of his properties.
Catherine has consulted, produced and/or worked with most of the major content producers in North America including; Fox Feature Animation/Blue Sky Studios, DisneyToons Animation, Hanna-Barbera/Turner Productions, HBO Original Programming, MTV, LucasFilm, Skybound Entertainment LLC, Spin Master Entertainment and Illumination Entertainment. Winder co-authored the industry handbook “Producing Animation” for Focal Press.
Darren brings his vast experience in financing, management and the tax credit process to oversee finances at WSS. He and his team cares about the many people and projects they support and have a genuine can-do approach to their work. Darren has acted as CFO for Network Entertainment, Rainmaker Entertainment and Bardel Entertainment, all Vancouver-based film and entertainment companies. In addition to his entertainment industry expertise, he also has experience within the financing, structuring and operating of start-up and growing companies, spanning a variety of industries such as software development, bio-tech and high tech, both in the public and private sectors.
A seasoned media professional, Krista has been involved in all aspects of the entertainment industry from development through delivery, including time spent in business affairs, digital content, reality casting, events, animation and live action production. With over 30 film and television credits in her career to date, Krista Kelloway brings invaluable experience and leadership to Wind Sun Sky Entertainment as Vice President of Production. At WSS Krista is overseeing the development of a comprehensive franchise series for the video game Summoners War in addition to various live action and digital interactive projects. For AMC and Skybound North, Krista produced Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics.
Lisa runs the day-to-day studio. She loves collaborating with film-makers, artists and kick-ass production teams in a co-creative and inspired environment. She is a great person to reach out to if you want to learn more about WSS. She has worked in office administration for various industries over 30 years, and has an education in visual arts (UBCO BFA). Most recently she ran the Vancouver studio for the Angry Birds Movie (2016) released by Columbia Tristar. Vancouver arts/entertainment clients have included Paul Wong Projects, On Main (On The Cutting Edge Productions Society), Catriona Jeffries Gallery, and Rovio Animation.
Eric is our Creative Executive. He’s constantly on the hunt for great talent and material with a focus on television and feature film. Previously, Eric worked at the Mark Gordon Company as a Creative Executive on “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms,” “All the Old Knives,” and “Blood’s a Rover.”
Jennifer keeps track of our many projects. She is fantastic with details and partnering with producers, lawyers and creatives to keep them informed. She has spent her film and television career primarily focused on children’s content for television and theatrical release and knows all stages of the process. With a focus in business affairs, she has several years of experience in the entertainment industry holding various roles that have touched on development, production, and distribution including associate producing a comedic spoof that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010. She is a past director of Women and Film in Television.
As our coordinator, Jenna is the company’s bridge builder—connecting our team, creators, and partners. Her enthusiastic approach makes the development and production of our projects that much more fun. Her care and attention to detail helps keep everything running smoothly. Jenna worked as assistant to the Producers on the Angry Birds Movie (2016) where she was involved in all areas of the project. She has a passion for environmental sustainability and education acquired during her time with Global Visions International.
Anastasia hails from Spruce Grove, Alberta, where her love of theatre helped push her to develop both on and off-stage productions, leading her to discover a passion for filmmaking. Ana enrolled at the Art Institute of Vancouver, and her commitment earned her spots as a director, editor, and producer for three graduating class projects and the ‘Best of Show’ award for her portfolio. Ana began working as a producer and filmmaker for local Vancouver commercial companies, and then as a Production Manager on her first feature film, The Prodigal Dad, which premiered at the Whistler Film Festival in 2017. Most recently, Ana worked as the Post Production Coordinator on AMC and Skybound North’s Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics.
The film-makers behind such notable projects as The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, and Outcast, Robert Kirkman and David Alpert, are minority partners in the venture along with entrepreneur Jon Goldman (Greycroft Capital).
A broad cross category global licensing program will initially include collectible merchandise, toys and lifestyle products based on the characters, their island habitats and their creative musical abilities.

We’re very proud to announce that we’ll be adapting Big Blue Bubble‘s hit mobile game, My Singing Monsters into an animated series entitled Those Singing Monsters! Our partnership with Big Blue Bubble allows us to move beyond just TV as well, with a consumer products and licensing program currently being developed.
